Once upon a time there was a little girl who loved to read and who loved to laugh. Many years later that little girl discovered a love of sharing stories, whether it be through conversation, through group work or through written word. A love and appreciation of the courage, honesty and humour that the sharing of stories brings. A love for the connection that results.
As we move through the chapters of life, as we experience love and loss, our stories deserve to be heard.
I am grateful to all of you who I have met along the way. All of you who have shared your stories of life and love and loss and all who encourage me to keep writing. Many of my words are inspired by your stories.
Chapters by Maura is the next step on this path for me. It is a coming together of the fun and joy that life brings, along with the heartache and sadness too.
My greatest thanks goes to my family of origin and to my family who I live with here in East Cork, my husband, my two sons and the best rescue doggie ever. My greatest accomplishment is having co-created two incredible people. What better legacy than to have added two more Corkonians to the world!
With love and thanks,
Maura
